I just can't look at seven pounds of tomatoes anymore and get excited.
I'm yawning just looking at this picture.
No more sauce. No more ketchup. No more double batches of soup. Mommy's all done for the fall. Winters coming and this little squirrel has plenty of red food.
These pretty girls are headed to the deep freezer. Oh yeah - I said 'freezer'. Didn't know you could do that did you? Well neither did I until I read about it in this summers favorite read of mine: "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" by Barbara Kingsolver. Pop them into a freezer bag and put them to rest for the winter.
When January comes and I have absolutely nothing to do with my days, I'll think about making more ketchup.
