Anyone who scrolls the front page of my blog these days might be hard pressed to believe we eat anything but cookies.
It's true, there have been a lot of cookies in our life lately. And if you can believe it, there are more to come.
Yesterday was our 2011 neighborhood cookie decorating party! (You can read about our tradition, and last year's party here.) This year, we joined sugar forces at my next-door neighbors house where she rolled out an insane amount of creativity in the form of shortbread, melted chocolate, sprinkles and cereal box recipes.
My 7 year-old took a turn at mixing the puppy chow and I'm proud to say he drew a connection to "aerating soil". That's my boy!
These chocolate dipped marshmallows, covered in sprinkles, were everyone's favorite.
After everything was baked, dipped, sprinkled and bagged, we loaded up plates of desserts for the kids to deliver to all our neighbors. It's so sweet to see them race door to door, gifting Christmas treats to the all the people on our street.
Meet three of my all-time favorite people: Mr. Noodle, Miss Frijoles and The 8 year old.
Very nice tradition!
