I made a big, big mistake recently when I accidentally booked our trip to Disneyland the week after our school district's ski week. I don't know how it happened exactly (honest truth), but it did, and so we just decided to roll with it. Last week we stayed local while everyone else was traveling, and now that school is back in, we are down south introducing the three-year-old to places like The Madonna Inn, Disneyland and Santa Barbara.
Last night we spent the night in the Jungle Rock room at The Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo. You can imagine the kids excitement when they first walked in...
...before indulging in all sorts of good eats at the Copper Cafe.
We came for the ambiance but were pleasantly surprised that the food at The Madonna Inn delivered a pretty powerful punch as well. The girls favorite? A shared slice of pink champagne cake. Incredible!
