After our jaunt into PV for lunch at Joe Jack's Fish Shack, the women and men parted ways for several hours. Dads and boys headed back to the hotel, moms and daughters walked the streets of old town looking for adventure, cheap take-homes and ice cream. (Did that sound dirty?)
One of us (with cute red braids) was lucky enough to get a private lesson in quesadilla making from a sweet man who took to her good looks. She was so excited for the experience.
With a short list of things to buy (shark tooth necklace, bobble-head turtles, Mexican dresses, etc.) we headed north, crossed a small bridge and turned left into the PV’s outdoor market.
I found the cutest dress for Miss Frijoles, and her cute little red headed friend grabbed one of the same. I also found the exact wicker bag that is stocked in our hotel's rooms for guests to use at the pool. They are so handy with their wide open top and we are all rave about them. I got one for less than $20, which made me feel like I got a steal as they are sold in our hotel gift shop for $75!!! I also grabbed el-cheapo-parachuting-super-hero for the littlest guy as I saw him eyeing one on beach the day before. This is what he looked like straight out of the bag:
And you thought Made in China was cheap. ;) Mr. Noodle saw through the mess and it was love at first flight.
