While driving home from our mini getaway this weekend, we had the brilliant idea to pull over during a rain storm and let the kids get their wiggles out in a Borders Books. We had no intention of spending any money. $200, twelve books and a Borders Preferred Customer Card later...well, you know the rest.
I'm actually not really complaining since I did get to pick out Three. New. Cookbooks!!! One was my first by Giada De Laurentiis, Giada's Kitchen: New Italian Favorites.
The first recipe I made was her Olive Oil Muffins. Intriguing, no? We ate all twelve of them yesterday and that's just between me and the two big kids! They were wonderfully simple in flavor and the olive oil made them extra moist. They are clearly one of those recipes where the more you enjoy them, the more you desire them. As soon as those girls out back give me a couple more eggs, I'm going to make a triple batch of these lovelies and freeze them for snacks on the go.
What are you waiting for?
