I am in love with these treats. I just made thirty of them in less than fifteen minutes which means they are likely to become an Easter classic around here.
Chow mein noodles, butterscotch morsels + Cadbury Mini Eggs.
You're done!
Bird's Nest Cookies
Makes 24 - 30 cookies
12 oz. package chow mein noodles
12 oz. package butterscotch morsels (At least. A couple extra ounces will give you a better hold)
90 egg-shaped candies
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Using a double-boiler, and stirring continually over med-low heat, melt the mosels. Be careful not to burn.
Once morsels are completely melted, remove pan from head and add in the chow mein noodles, mixing until combined.
Use a 1/4 measuring cup to portion out the cookies onto the baking sheet. If the mixture starts to solidify in the mixing bowl, you can reheat/soften it in the microwave (using a glass bowl) for 15 to 30 seconds. Place three egg-shaped candies in the center of each cookie. Allow to set for at least 5 minutes before serving or transferring.
Goodnight!
Fiber one original would work for the nests as well and be far more nutritious. Just a thought!

if you use golden grahms cereal and broke them up, they'd taste similar to clodhoppers!
