Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Thursday is my favorite day of the week.
As the anticipation of all things *weekend* grows to a feverish pitch, it only gets better with the promise of a marriage-saving housecleaning a set-in-stone date night a fish taco at 10 in the morning from The Taco Guys.
Which brings us to a big orange truck at our Thursday morning farmer's market. In walks Jason and Justin, the Taco Guys.
Beep-Beep! Hey boys!!
With my first bite of Taco de Maui - think batter-fried sustainable ono, shredded little gem lettuce, pickled radishes(!!!), Sriracha mayo and cilantro - I was done for it, and these guys were on the top of my Love You Long Time list.
I told Jason he was doing a bang-up job and that his fish tacos were in my top two this side of the border, the other being at Marinitas. He seemed pleased and let me take this picture of him serving up another happy customer.
The whole fish taco discovery, and subsequent experience, kinda made the rest of the farmer's market a yawner, if you can believe that.
Follow the guys this Cinco de Mayo to the Thursday night farmers market on 4th Street in San Rafael. Or for more information, like where to find them, their complete menu, or how to rent out their big orange truck for summer events, visit thetacoguys.com
