I'm going to sound entirely like Fancy Nancy when I say this, but we went to a Teddy Bear Tea today. And it was at the Ritz-Carlton.
*Nana* took a gaggle of us girls as her guests and we got to dress up! Little Miss wore her party best, and I wore a vintage blouse my mother sewed in the '60's from silk fabric my uncle brought back for Japan. (Epic, Mom.)
The whole tea party was very sweet. Upon walking in, the two girls/cousins (only three weeks apart in age), were each greeted with a super snuggly teddy bear to call their own.
Two elves, named *Stretchy* and *Mary Christmas* kept both the kids and adults completely entertained! *Stretchy* kept us in stitches, start to finish.
See her face? It's saying "Come on - let's go make trouble!"
So while the elves entertained us all on stage, the kids sat on the floor, front and center, while us adults stayed back and took our dessert.
Everyone loved the entertainment...until *Stretchy* read a new version of The Night Before Christmas, his version, to be exact. This really upset the four year old who then grabbed her cousin, marched on stage and yelled "Bad Stretchy!!" to the giant elf. Without a second of hesitation, *Stretchy* turned to the audience and said, "She's going through a 'stage'". Priceless. I captured her walking off below.
A peaceful moment...
...and behaving badly again! ;)
The view while waiting for our car. I love ornamental cabbage!
Thank you, NANA! xoxo
Looks absolutely lovely!
