Happy Saturday! I know it's the weekend and I know we are all gathered around our kitchen tables at this point sipping tea and coffee, iPads and laptops out, catching-up, waking-up, cartoons on, jammies on, but I couldn't help but post this Friday's surprise - it was a true winner!
Yesterday, the little man and I kept our end-of-the-week tradition going when we sat down on the floor with a stack of Ina's cookbooks and contemplated pretty pictures of decedent desserts. Together we agreed on her Fresh Lemon Mousse. He was sold on the image alone, I was extra excited knowing that his big brother and Nana are lemon lovers. All three grandmothers would be banding together to tackle the kids while Daddy and I went out to celebrate a old friend's 40th. I had high hopes that six mouths would polish this off and leave no temptation for our late night return. No such luck. Daddy and I were licking spoonfuls of this lovely as Friday turned into Saturday.
