This year's return vacation to Mexico has pretty much been a carbon copy of last year's vacation (except this year we were a party of 14 with a third family in the mix :) Days at the all-inclusive are wonderful but there isn't much variation. (This is in no way a complaint!) We have never done day excurtions, for example, there really is no need. With so many kids and such incredible food, we stay poolside with the exception of the daily walk down to the beach for a some family boogie boarding.
That said, we haaad to repeat last year's great night out to La Palapa. (The hotel makes this easy with a wonderful kid's club where we can check-in all eight kids, no problemo.) La Palapa is the quintessential Mexican dining experience on the beach. The weather is always perfect, a mariachi band always seems to be in ear shot, happy kids are bouncing in and out of the water, and the food is muy delicioso! It's no wonder that we lost all sense of time and had to rush back to our hotel for kids thirty minutes late. We didn't even get to indulge in dessert or one of La Palapa's flaming coffees. Next year...
